famfoe Lerncoaching – Learning to learn.

famfoe supports families in their everyday life together with a particular focus on the children. Learning conditions in today’s educational system are often not ideal. Families in a functioning environment can as a rule compensate for this. Families under stress and strain often don’t manage to strike this balance. Children from such families not only have to bear the strain within the family, they also have poorer conditions in school and in their leisure time. The project “Lerncoaching” concentrates individually on children who have difficult learning conditions and increases their will to learn and motivation.
The focus is on a very personal support for the child and his or her family. Many educational institutions do not have the possibility of providing individual help. However, learning is a process that requires a personal orientation. Thanks to the support of the Auerbach Foundation famfoe can accommodate the needs of the supervised children in small groups or in individual sessions: private coaching can fill in the gaps or deficits in their knowledge. Younger children learn to pay attention and improve their learning techniques. Teenagers, despite their sometimes difficult family situation, can develop their own ideas and aims for their future.
About the Auerbach Foundation
The aim of the Auerbach Foundation is to provide help and support for people on a lasting basis.
To be able to grasp a situation we first have to understand it. And with this understanding we can, within the scope of our project funding, provide an impetus, and that is the first step in helping people to help themselves.
With its charitable and social donations the Auerbach Foundation minimises financial, spiritual, mental and physical hardship. It also seeks to create avenues for art, culture and science and, in doing so, to safeguard values, such as security and creativity.
In concrete terms this means:
- Funding people:
youth aid, aid for the old, aid for the disabled, development aid
- Funding education and socialisation
- Funding science and research
- Funding art and culture
The Auerbach Foundation was founded in 2005 by the Avira GmbH partner, Tjark Auerbach and finances its projects from donations.
Anyone buying the software Avira AntiVir Premium or Avira Premium Security Suite in the Avira online shop, makes a contribution of five euros per product to the Foundation projects.
In 2008 a total of approximately € 800,000 will go to benefit social and cultural projects.
