Observe, Appreciate, Act.

People with mental and multiple disabilities are very reliant on assistance in their daily lives. This is why i-punkt-hilfe e.V. observes very closely, appreciates what needs doing and then acts. The aim is to provide people with mental or multiple disabilities with a sustainable relationship. Because only by providing them with care and attention are they incited to grow and develop their own personality.
A permanent network of associations, institutions and private individuals, working closely with i-punkt hilfe e.V., provides help and support. This year’s project, entitled “gemeinsam mittendrin” (literally “together in the thick of it”), has been made possible thanks to the Auerbach Foundation. Thus schoolchildren, for example, are motivated to do something with disabled people. This also means that, by taking some of the burden away from the specialist staff, often valuable individual care can be provided.
About the Auerbach Foundation
The aim of the Auerbach Foundation is to provide help and support for people on a lasting basis.
To be able to grasp a situation we first have to understand it. And with this understanding we can, within the scope of our project funding, provide an impetus, and that is the first step in helping people to help themselves.
With its charitable and social donations the Auerbach Foundation minimises financial, spiritual, mental and physical hardship. It also seeks to create avenues for art, culture and science and, in doing so, to safeguard values, such as security and creativity.
In concrete terms this means:
- Funding people:
youth aid, aid for the old, aid for the disabled, development aid
- Funding education and socialisation
- Funding science and research
- Funding art and culture
The Auerbach Foundation was founded in 2005 by the Avira GmbH partner, Tjark Auerbach and finances its projects from donations.
Anyone buying the software Avira AntiVir Premium or Avira Premium Security Suite in the Avira online shop, makes a contribution of five euros per product to the Foundation projects.
In 2008 a total of approximately € 800,000 will go to benefit social and cultural projects.
