Dortmund s got talent – discover your skills.

Multilateral Academy gGmbH - Dortmund s got talent – discover your skills. <br>

The project was developed by the Multilateral Academy gGmbH and the Auslandsgesellschaft NRW e.V. The aim is to arouse acceptance and understanding for various cultures and religions. Up to 160 Dortmund young people between the ages of 14 and 20 receive free further education and guidance for one year in the fields of music production, film/video, dancing or acting. No artistic prerequisites are required, so the project is accessible for everyone and there is no selection process according to achievement. This way the project can build several bridges: between both the cultural and religious differences of the various nations.

The youngsters can acquire qualifications and skills to express more clearly and present themselves better. A common venture is worked out and realised together in the group. The key phase is dealing with the topics "Religion and Culture” in discussions with one another. The various positions on the themes are visualised from the point of view of the individuals and also from within the team. This way, the young people’s personality and their sense of belonging are strengthened, and the fact that their artistic talents are promoted for a year and new key skills can be acquired, makes this very attractive for the youngsters. The Auerbach Foundation’s sponsorship ensures that there is an experienced team to supervise this.

About the Auerbach Foundation

The aim of the Auerbach Foundation is to provide help and support for people on a lasting basis.

To be able to grasp a situation we first have to understand it. And with this understanding we can, within the scope of our project funding, provide an impetus, and that is the first step in helping people to help themselves.

With its charitable and social donations the Auerbach Foundation minimises financial, spiritual, mental and physical hardship. It also seeks to create avenues for art, culture and science and, in doing so, to safeguard values, such as security and creativity.

In concrete terms this means:
  • Funding people:
youth aid, aid for the old, aid for the disabled, development aid
  • Funding education and socialisation
  • Funding science and research
  • Funding art and culture
The Auerbach Foundation was founded in 2005 by the Avira GmbH partner, Tjark Auerbach and finances its projects from donations.

Anyone buying the software Avira AntiVir Premium or Avira Premium Security Suite in the Avira online shop, makes a contribution of five euros per product to the Foundation projects.

In 2008 a total of approximately € 800,000 will go to benefit social and cultural projects.
