BUNT & GESUND: a varied programme for healthy kids.

Johanniter kindergarten „Sonnenschein“ - BUNT & GESUND: a varied programme for healthy kids.

In the “Sonnenschei” kindergarten in Anklam (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern) the children learn bit by bit how they too are responsible for their own health. Various topics are on offer which contribute to a healthy development of the children. During the year the children and their parents gain constructive knowledge on nutrition, exercise, language, communication, dental health, coping with stress and relaxation. With this exchange with the pre-school teachers and the role model function of the adults, the children are encouraged in growing up to be attentive persons responsible for their own lives.

The project name “BUNT & GESUND” [Bright & Healthy] stands for the diversity of approaches to health promotion from the word go. The range of offers for children, parents and pre-school teachers address the people in various ways and get them involved. Active participation is a lively way of showing what people can and must do to lead a healthy life. This appreciation of a healthy way of life is supported by the Auerbach Foundation and ensures a sustainable better development and more well-being in everyday life.

About the Auerbach Foundation

The aim of the Auerbach Foundation is to provide help and support for people on a lasting basis.

To be able to grasp a situation we first have to understand it. And with this understanding we can, within the scope of our project funding, provide an impetus, and that is the first step in helping people to help themselves.

With its charitable and social donations the Auerbach Foundation minimises financial, spiritual, mental and physical hardship. It also seeks to create avenues for art, culture and science and, in doing so, to safeguard values, such as security and creativity.

In concrete terms this means:
  • Funding people:
youth aid, aid for the old, aid for the disabled, development aid
  • Funding education and socialisation
  • Funding science and research
  • Funding art and culture
The Auerbach Foundation was founded in 2005 by the Avira GmbH partner, Tjark Auerbach and finances its projects from donations.

Anyone buying the software Avira AntiVir Premium or Avira Premium Security Suite in the Avira online shop, makes a contribution of five euros per product to the Foundation projects.

In 2008 a total of approximately € 800,000 will go to benefit social and cultural projects.
