A stepping stone into life.
 |
Jugendhilfen Sprungbrett e.V. is an independent non-profit association which has been carrying out youth welfare work in Nuremberg since 1982. The main task of the association is help for youths and families, educational backup, sheltered housing and intensive individual socio-educational supervision. Poverty has a direct effect on education, professional qualification and participation in public life, which is why the project FAMILIE LEBEN was set up. The aim of this new project of Jugendhilfen Sprungbrett e.V. is to work against child poverty, unemployment and mental illness. FAMILIE LEBEN focuses on the entire family, and in this way each individual and the family as a whole can be reached. Solution strategies for an independent future are worked out together with kindergartens, schools, church communities and other social facilities. The project comprises four networked modules:
- Counselling and practical supervision
- Parent groups
- Family activities
- Education and support for children and youths
The Auerbach Foundation finances the third project year of FAMILIE LEBEN and provides a backup for families in need.
About the Auerbach Foundation
The aim of the Auerbach Foundation is to provide help and support for people on a lasting basis.
To be able to grasp a situation we first have to understand it. And with this understanding we can, within the scope of our project funding, provide an impetus, and that is the first step in helping people to help themselves.
With its charitable and social donations the Auerbach Foundation minimises financial, spiritual, mental and physical hardship. It also seeks to create avenues for art, culture and science and, in doing so, to safeguard values, such as security and creativity.
In concrete terms this means:
- Funding people:
youth aid, aid for the old, aid for the disabled, development aid
- Funding education and socialisation
- Funding science and research
- Funding art and culture
The Auerbach Foundation was founded in 2005 by the Avira GmbH partner, Tjark Auerbach and finances its projects from donations.
Anyone buying the software Avira AntiVir Premium or Avira Premium Security Suite in the Avira online shop, makes a contribution of five euros per product to the Foundation projects.
In 2008 a total of approximately € 800,000 will go to benefit social and cultural projects.
