The Auerbach Foundation was set up because its founders were aware of the hardship and need in their immediate neighbourhood.
“I was always given plenty of support and encouragement at home which meant that I was free to do as I pleased. I set up the foundation to offer as many people as possible more opportunities in their lives. By buying from us, every user of our anti-virus programme is creating more security for himself and for others at the same time." |

The aim of the Auerbach Foundation is to minimise financial, spiritual, mental and physical hardship through its charitable and social donations. It also seeks to create space for art, culture and science and, in doing so, to safeguard values, such as security and creativity. In concrete terms this mean:
- Funding people: youth aid, old people’s aid, student aid, development aid
- Funding education and training
- Funding science and research
- Funding art and culture
